Although slightly further away, a well-deserved excursion from Sarlat for its spectacular architecture and rich religious history. Nestled on a cliffside, this sacred city is home to the Rocamadour sanctuary, the seven shrines, the Saint-Amadour crypt and an impressive Way of the Cross.

The Dordogne is a hotbed of culture and art. Don’t miss the Cap Blanc shelter, famous for its rock carvings. Not far from the campsite, you can stroll through the gardens of Eyrignac, Carsac or Cadiot in Carlux. Visit the medieval towns of Sarlat or Rocamadour and its caves, the Gouffre de Padirac. We’re less than 30 minutes from some of France’s most beautiful villages, including Collonges-la-Rouge and the Château de Turenne.
The Canoeing at Le Canoë Tranquille in Cazoulès, the Footgolf (a fun activity that combines soccer kicking with the rules of golf) at Domaine de la Brâme. Zoological Reserve of Calviac, la Ferme des 4 vents to 130 angora goats, the Combe aux ânes for outings with family and friends. For the less fearful, the Quercyland water park is less than 10km from the campsite.
Black Périgord truffles can be used to flavour many dishes, especially omelettes and sauces. Foie gras, an emblematic product, is often enjoyed in terrine or pan-fried, offering an exquisite taste. Duck confits, slowly cooked in their own fat, are the embodiment of the region’s culinary tradition. Finally, walnuts, whether in salads, dishes or desserts, add a touch of crunch to local dishes. A veritable feast for food lovers, featuring local produce.
